Baseball has the Yankees. Football has the Cowboys. And basketball has the Lakers. All dominant (or at least once dominant) franchises with as many detractors as fans.

We’re just five short days away from UFC 104: Machida vs. Rua. While the main event is sure to provide plenty of fireworks there are also some great fights on the main card, starting with Cain Velasquez vs. Ben Rothwell. Velasquez was originally slated to square off against Shane Carwin with the winner moving on to face Brock Lesnar. However, the bout was called off and Carwin will instead face Lesnar at UFC 106. Expect Velasquez to come out PISSED! That fight should be something to behold.

Baseball has the Yankees. Football has the Cowboys. The UFC has Brock Lesnar. Sports need bad guys. The kind of teams and people that galvanize the audience to turn on the tube and root, root, root for the other team.
 

Take a good long look at Brock Lesnar. With that enormous frame and sword tattooed on his abdomen it’s hard not to notice how intimidating he is. Surely he’s not a man to be trifled with. But the same was said about Kimbo Slice. And we all know how Kimbo’s MMA career turned out.
