Another season of the Ultimate Fighter is in the books.

This season’s installment of The Ultimate Fighter on SpikeTV had its ups and downs. After touting Kimbo in seemingly every single commercial the show aired, the YouTube sensation was beaten in just the third episode of the show. A Kimbo comeback that never even happened was then dangled in front of our noses like a carrot stick for the remainder of the season. It also had a few other surprises. Here are the Top 5 Things We Learned From The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights.


5. Team Rampage was out coached.

Another TUF episode another loss for Team Rampage. What is it going to take for these guys to actually win a fight? An act of God?

If nothing else, this week’s episode of TUF will be remembered for setting two world records:

1.    The longest held triangle choke in MMA history
2.    The most amount of times the word “titties” was used in an hour-long show.

A couple of seasons ago, The Ultimate Fighter was struggling to regain its footing. The show seemed to lack a sense of identity. Was it a show about a bunch of guys training in the mixed martial arts or a Real World-style reality show about a bunch of tough guys trying to get along in a house outside of Vegas. Well, if the second-episode of TUF season 10 is any indication, the folks at the UFC and Spike TV have opted to make it about the former. And I likey.

It seems like only yesterday that the UK guys showed the fighters from the US that the Brits know a thing or two about tangling in the octagon. But The Ultimate Fighter is back for it's tenth season and they've brought along a stable of 16 heavyweights itching to get a UFC contract. If the first episode is any indication, this season may turn out to be the most explosive yet.
