Will MMA finally make it's NYC debut?

Check out this story we found in the New York Times today. Live MMA bouts have been banned in NYC since 1997. But according the Richard Sandomir the UFC has sued the state of New York to finally allow sanctioned MMA bouts in Manhattan and it's surrounding boroughs. The UFC says the ban is unconstitutional.

The lawsuit adds, “Live professional M.M.A. is clearly intended and understood as public entertainment and, as such, is expressive activity protected by the First Amendment.”

What do you think? Will MMA finally make its way to the Big Apple?
