The other night as I watched the Olympic opening ceremony in Vancouver,  it occured to me how far we've come along as both athletes and global citizens.

It’s official! The city of Abu Dhabi will host UFC 112. The up coming event will be held in the outdoor Concert Arena at Ferrari World on Yas Island.

On March 24th, 1986 a baby boy was born in Suwanee, Georgia. However he wasn’t like the other kids born that day. This baby had a condition known as congenital amputation, which, according to Wikipedia is a congenital disorder that can be caused by fibrous bands of the amnion that constrict foetal limbs to such an extent, that they fall off due to missing blood supply.

Just think: There's a whole generation of kids who think Mike Tyson is the guy with the crazy tattoo on his face who sang along to Phil Collins in The Hangover. I find it sad they may never know how great Iron Mike really was because of the bizarre incidents later on in his career. (The Holyfield ear biting incident, anyone?!?!?)
