There were a lot of fireworks going off in Portland last night. Between a classic duel between Minotauro and Couture and the vicious KO’s scored by Silva and Marquadt, UFC 102 has more than it’s share of great moments.
 

MMAJunkie just announced they will be showing the UFC 102 weigh-ins via video stream this evening. Log on and tune in to see BORN STRONGER fighter Todd Duffee get on the scale for the last time before his big fight with Tim Hague on the UFC 102 undercard tomorrow evening. The weigh-ins start at 7pm (4pm Pacific Time).
 

WEC contender and reigning Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC) champ Rani Yahya will be making an appearance at the BORN STRONGER MMA Sportswear booth this Sunday at the IMMAE. Rani is a great guy and we're proud to have him promoting our MMA fight gear.
 

We're proud to announce that BORN STRONGER MMA Sportswear has signed heavyweight Todd Duffee to a contract to promote our line of MMA fight wear. Duffee is a member of American Top Team out of Miami, Florida and has an undefeated MMA record of 4-0-0. His most recent victory came in the form of a TKO due to punches at Jungle Fight 11 on September 13, 2008. Duffee will be fighting on the UFC 102 under card this Saturday against Tim Hague.

Come check us out this weekend at booth #618 showcasing and selling the latest products from our line of MMA gear. Along side us will be current WEC lightweight champion Jamie Varner. Mr. Varner will be at our booth signing autographs. The autograph sessions with Jamie Varner will take place from 2-4pm on Saturday, August 29th and 1-3pm on Sunday, August 30th. IMMAE supports a national program of MMA expositions designed to bring the sport closer to the fans in their own community.

Another WEC bout for BORN STRONGER fighter Rani Yahya. Another victory to add to his MMA resume. After losing to Chase Beebe in a 5-round WEC championship bout via decision in September of 2007, Yahya has roared back to win three of his next four fights with all three coming in the WEC.

There are literally thousands of people writing “official” UFC 101 recaps. All of which pretty much say the same thing. So in spirit of UFC 101, I decided to offer a decidedly different take. We're proud to announce we've recently signed WEC veteran Rani Yahya to a promotional contract for his upcoming bout against John Hosman. Rani has a record of 11-3 and was scheduled to fight Kenji Osawa at WEC 42 this Sunday. However, a foot injury suffered by Osawa, forced the organization to replace him with Hosman. As with many Brazilian fighters, Rani is a phenomenal jiu-jitsu artist, winning the 66 kg division of the prestigious Abu Dhabi submission-grappling tournament in April 2007.

UFC 101 is just five days away. Who do you think will win the two big bouts?
 
Many prognosticators have K-Flo beating BJ Penn by decision, but that might be a little hasty. After the George St-Pierre debacle and the subsequent vasoline controversy, Penn has some atoning to do in the octagon. To write him off already and say that he has no shot at defeating Florian is a tad premature. I expect to see Penn put up a good fight and pull off the upset.
